A McKeesport man was sentenced Friday to five years of probation for having inappropriate contact with a child, according to a court order.

Alfonso B. Washington Jr., 48, was ordered to register as a sex offender under Megan’s Law for 15 years.

He pleaded guilty Friday to corruption of minors and indecent assault that were filed by Delmont police in December 2022. Charges of unlawful contact with a minor, indecent assault and child endangerment were dismissed.

Delmont police were forwarded a Child Line incident report from the state’s Department of Human Services and observed a forensic interview with a 15-year-old girl, who said that Washington assaulted her on several occasions in 2022.

Washington was ordered to have no unsupervised contact with minors. He is prohibited from having access to social media, according to the court order.
