A man was killed in a crash on Darlington Road in Ligonier Township on Saturday morning.

Westmoreland County Coroner Tim Carson identified the man as Mark Maley, 65.

The crash was reported around 11 a.m., a Westmoreland County Public Safety supervisor said.

According to Darlington fire Chief Kurt Rose, Maley was traveling downhill on Darlington Road when his vehicle went off the road and hit a tree.

Maley died of blunt force injuries in the crash. No one else was in the vehicle, Carson said.

Ligonier Valley police investigated the crash. Ligonier Valley Police Chief Mike Matrunics could not immediately be reached for comment.
