A Forest County man will serve time in jail for sending pornographic pictures of himself to a 15-year-old Derry Township girl last year.

Shawn M. Negley Jr., 19, pleaded guilty to two felony offenses in connection with pictures police said he sent to the juvenile via social media.

According to court records, police said in December the juvenile provided investigators with multiple pornographic photographs that Negley sent her over several months and requests from him that she send nude pictures of herself on Facebook Messenger.

Westmoreland County Common Pleas Court Judge Christopher Feliciani sentenced Negley to serve one year, less a day, to two years, less a day, in the county jail and an additional four years on probation. Negley will be required to register as a convicted sex offender for 25 years and is barred from using the internet other than for work or school purposes.
