State police are seeking help to identify a man who they said stole credit cards out of a gym-goer’s wallet and used them to buy $2,000 worth of Apple gift cards.

The man entered LA Fitness in Hempfield on Sept. 6, went into the locker room and took the cards out of a wallet, troopers said. The Apple gift cards were purchased at the nearby Walmart store.

Police released surveillance images of the suspect on Monday. He was described as being in his early 20s with an athletic build wearing a long-sleeve gray T-shirt, dark shorts, white socks, a medical-style mask and distinct red and white sneakers. Anyone with information is asked to call state police at 724-832-3288.
