Hempfield Township will soon be in the spotlight as part of “Manhunt: Lone Wolf,” the second season of an American true-crime miniseries.

Filming for the Discovery Channel show, which will focus on Richard Jewell, a security guard who was accused of a bombing at the 1996 Olympics in Atlanta, will shut down part of Possum Hollow Road on June 3 and June 4, said Jen Manypenny, assistant location manager for the show.

Local traffic will have access to the roads, but may encounter slight delays, she said. Filming will focus on the 200 block of the road, but will also film near White Rock Road.

The show is also filming at Tech One Business Park in Monroeville and the former Penn Hills municipal building.

Originally airing the summer of 2017, the first season of the Manhunt series, “Manhunt: Unabomber,” portrayed Unabomber Ted Kaczynski, who killed three people and injured 23 other between 1978 and 1995 in order to start an anarchy revolution.
