Mon Valley Opioid Coalition plans public meeting

Members of the public are invited to a meeting of the Mon Valley Opioid Coalition on April 30 in Speers.

The session with include discussion about the coalition’s goals and progress while seeking public input on the group’s new website. The coalition was formed in November 2017 with officials and groups from Westmoreland, Washington and Fayette counties.

Members of the group meet monthly in their efforts to break down barriers among the counties and increase community education and awareness while helping those in need get connected with treatment and recovery.

The meeting will be held 5:30-7 p.m. at the Mon Valley Career and Technology Center at 5 Guttman Ave., Speers.
