State police are looking for a Monessen man they say led them on a chase at speeds of more than 100 mph before he abandoned his car on Toll Route 43 and literally left his calling cards behind.

Troopers in Uniontown acquired an arrest warrant this week for Aliziah I. Feliberty, 20, on charges of fleeing and eluding, resisting arrest and 36 summary traffic citations after the incident at 6:23 p.m. April 24.

Trooper William Segeleon said authorities were able to identify Feliberty after he ran from his abandoned vehicle into the woods in the vicinity of Baer Road in Menallen Township, Fayette County, because of two photo identification cards he left in the car, including an employee identification card from a Belle Vernon plant where he worked.

Police say the chase began in the area of Northgate Highway at the entrance of Route 43 near Uniontown when Segeleon noticed Feliberty’s 2005 Buick sedan had an inoperable brake light. When he and attempted a traffic stop, Segeleon said Feliberty proceeded north on the toll road at a high rate of speed.

Segeleon alleges in court documents that Feliberty’s speed exceeded 107 mph during the pursuit. Troopers allege in court papers that Feliberty did not appear to slow down as he took the Brownsville exit and failed to stop for a stop sign at Route 40.

Police allege Feliberty reentered the toll road, drove north in the southbound lanes, crossed the grass median at the toll booths at the Republic interchange and headed south.

Troopers deployed spike strips along the southbound lanes of the highway in Menallen and deflated the tires on Feliberty’s car. Police were unable to catch him after he abandoned the car and ran up an embankment into the woods.

Feliberty is described as a black male, about 5-feet 11-inches tall and about 145 pounds.
