Man wanted for attempted homicide
Pittsburgh police are seeking a city man wanted in connection with an aggravated assault this spring.
Police said Bryant Garrett, 62, was charged with criminal attempted homicide, aggravated assault, robbery and terroristic threats in connection with an April 23 assault on a woman.
Garrett is known to frequent the city’s Hill District neighborhood, and may have shaved his head and goatee to avoid apprehension.

No injuries reported in Penn Hills fire
No injuries were reported following a multi-vehicle fire early Sunday morning in a Penn Hills backyard.
Shortly before 12:30 a.m. Sunday, fire crews were called to the 8100 block of Lincoln Road for a fire in the woods.
Firefighters arrived to find two vehicles on fire in the backyard of a house. The fire extended to the wood line but the house was not in danger, emergency officials said.
The fire was extinguished in about 90 minutes, and the Penn Hills Fire Marshal is investigating its cause.
1 in custody following Pittsburgh shooting
Pittsburgh police said they have a man in custody Monday over a reported shooting in the city’s Arlington Heights neighborhood.
First responders were called to the 3100 block of Cordell Place around 12:30 a.m.
Police said a man drew a firearm during a dispute in the common hallway of an apartment building, striking a male victim twice.
The alleged shooter later called 911 to identify himself and surrender to officers. He was taken into custody for additional questioning, police said.
The victim was taken by ambulance to a local hospital with wounds to the cheek and leg. He is in stable condition.
