Motorcycle crash closes Route 30 westbound at Route 217

A section of the westbound lanes of Route 30 at the Kingston Dam in Derry Township was closed late Monday night because of a motorcycle crash, according to the Westmoreland County Public Safety department.

A motorcyclist traveling westbound along Route 30 crashed at the Route 217 intersection at about 11:15 p.m. Monday, a public safety supervisor said. The motorcyclist was said to have suffered minor injuries, according to emergency responders.

Firefighters from Bradenville and Darlington responded to the incident.

Additional details were not available late Monday night.
