Sections of Mt. Pleasant Road and McClure Road in Fayette County will close on March 30 as PennDOT prepares to reconstruct the interchange.

Mt. Pleasant Road will be closed between Prittstown and Airport roads. McClure Road will be closed between Route 119 and Mt. Pleasant Road.

Closures are expected to last through the end of April. Traffic will be detoured using Route 119, Route 819 and Crossroads Road.

The scope of work includes resurfacing and reconstruction along sections of Route 119, Kingview Road, Crossroads Road, Mt. Pleasant Road, McClure Road, Wedding Road and Kendi Road.

As the project moves forward, Kendi will be extended to connect with Kingview Road. Plans also include a roundabout and a new bridge. Two traffic lights will be removed from Route 119 and acceleration/deceleration lanes will be added.

Construction on the overall $54 million project is expected to last through 2028.

Below, watch a PennDOT video rendering of the project.
