A vehicle crashed into a Mt. Pleasant Township home Sunday evening.

A vehicle crashed into a Mt. Pleasant Township home Sunday evening, piercing a gaping hole next to the home’s front door, according to the Mt. Pleasant Volunteer Fire Department.

The fire department was dispatched to a home in the 2400 block of School Street around 7:20 p.m. The driver, who appeared not to be injured, was still in the vehicle, the fire department said in a social media post.

Mt. Pleasant EMS removed the driver from the vehicle, while Norvelt and Mt. Pleasant firefighters stabilized the damaged home, the post said.

Hecla, Kecksburg and Greensburg volunteer fire departments also assisted at the scene, according to the post. First responders remained on scene for nearly 2½ hours.
