Michael Harris, 29, is accused of shooting at a woman in Ligonier Township.

A Munhall man accused of shooting at a woman in Ligonier Township was arrested Tuesday at the Allegheny County courthouse when he showed up for a hearing.

Ligonier Valley police have been looking for Michael Harris, 29, since the Nov. 11 shooting.

Allegheny County Sheriff’s Department Chief Deputy Kevin Kraus said Harris was arrested when he went to the Pittsburgh courthouse for a 9 a.m. formal arraignment on an October case filed by city police. Harris is charged with tampering with evidence, resisting arrest and other offenses stemming from an incident on the South Side.

Harris is charged with attempted homicide and related offenses for shooting at the woman in Ligonier Township as she was allegedly stealing a safe that belonged to him, Ligonier Valley police said.

The woman was not hurt and she fled in a vehicle, police said. A neighbor reported the shots and seeing a man holding a handgun outside. Investigators did not say what was inside the safe.

Harris allegedly fired several more shots at the home where the incident happened and then left. He was awaiting arraignment.
