Murrysville will host glass recycling event

Murrysville will host a glass recycling event on Saturday at Veterans Field, off of Sardis Road near the municipal building.

Murrysville and Republic Services will sponsor a pop-up glass recycling event from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday.

The collection will be in the parking lot at Veterans Field, 4200 Sardis Road.

All colors of glass bottles, jars and jugs will be accepted. Caps, lids and labels are acceptable. All containers must be emptied.

The following will not be accepted: window glass, drinking glasses and stemware, dishware, ceramics, mirrors, light bulbs and televisions.
