Mutual Aid Ambulance has restructured its day-to-day operation to follow a leadership model set by the region’s police and fire departments.
Four new assistant chiefs will cover 12-hour shifts each day for the service that covers 34 communities and almost 1,000 square miles in Westmoreland County, according to Michael Wystepek, chief operations officer.
The new leaders were recognized March 18 at a “pinning” ceremony at the Greensburg headquarters.
Jeremy Gamble, Jared Stone, Delanie Wilson and Ben Tingle will report to Justin Foreman, deputy chief of operations. The assistant chief appointments are permanent unless individuals seek a different position or employment
“It’s to help provide more direction and command structure,” Wystepek said. “They are all equals in what their job duties are.”
