No one was hurt in a Friday morning fire in South Huntingdon, according to Turkeytown Fire Chief Dan Pergola.

Firefighters were called to Stahl Road at 5 a.m. for a blaze that started in a garage attached to a home. It was fully engulfed in flames when crews arrived, he said.

Two vehicles were destroyed. The house had smoke and water damage, but firefighters were able to prevent the flames from spreading.

“We stopped the extension into the house,” Pergola said.

The roof of the two-bay garage collapsed and the flames melted siding on the house. A state police fire marshal was investigating the cause.
