Plans tabled for new Kenny Ross Mazda dealership
North Huntingdon officials this week tabled a review of plans for a new Kenny Ross Mazda dealership, between the Kenny Ross Subaru and the existing Mazda dealership along Route 30.
Kenny Ross Automotive Group’s plans for the new building were not ready to be reviewed, Ryan Fonzi, North Huntingdon planning director, said Monday.
Kenny Ross wants to build a state-of-the-art one-story building at the site of a gravel lot where vehicles are parked between the two dealerships, said Carley Painter, marketing director for the automotive group. The building will house the sales, service and parts departments, Painter said.
Kenny Ross wants to start construction on the project as soon as it obtains all of the necessary government permits, Painter said. It envisions the project will take between nine months and a year to complete.
The existing Mazda dealership, located at the site of the former Hamilton Subaru dealership, will be reused for another purpose, Painter said.
A review of the plans had been on the planning commission’s agenda earlier this month, but that was continued as well.
