The Norwin Air Force Junior ROTC Cadets will be conducting a food drive on March 20 and 21 at the Norwin High School, where they will collect boxes of donated food items like this food drive the Westmoreland Democratic Committee conducted on Jan. 18 for the Westmoreland County Food Bank.

The Norwin Air Force Junior ROTC Cadets plan a food collection event from 9 a.m. to noon March 20 and 3 to 6 p.m. March 21 at the front entrance of Norwin High School, 251 McMahon Drive, North Huntingdon.

The food collected by the Junior ROTC Cadets will be given to the Westmoreland County Food Bank to be distributed to food pantries it supports throughout the county. Among the most needed items are: peanut butter, cereal, canned and pouched tuna, chicken and salmon, boxed meals and canned soup and stews.

The ROTC cadets will not accept homemade goods or homecanned food, baby food or any item that has been opened.
