Norwin School District’s 425 seniors who will graduate on May 28 got some good news this week when the district announced they will be able to have six guests at the commencement ceremonies at Knights Stadium, two more than the initial allotment.

The increase of admission tickets for each student comes after Gov. Wolf’s decision to raise attendance at outdoor events to 75%, from 50%, as of May 17.

The capacity of Knights Stadium is approximately 5,000.

Superintendent Jeff Taylor also said the school district’s facilities will once again be open to the public, as of May 29. Because of the concern of the spread of coronavirus, the school district closed the facilities to the general public this school year.
