The Norwin School Board has a new secretary and the district’s superintendent has a new excutive assistant.

The school board Monday hired Leslie DeZorzi as the board secretary and as executive assistant to Superintendent Natalie McCracken at a salary of $59,000, prorated for the remainder of the school year.

DeZorzi replaces Denise Haberman, whose resignation is effective on Friday. Haberman held the position for the past few years.

The board also approved the retirement of Jeffrey Pritts, one of the district’s school police officers, effective May 23.

Pritts was a Greensburg police officer for 26 years. He was hired as a police officer for the Mt. Pleasant Area School District in October 2014. Norwin hired Pritts as its school police officer in November 2018.
