The Norwin Senior Softball League is looking for players — specifically ones who are age 55 and older and still want to play for fun.

The slow-pitch league typically fields six teams, said Bill Rollason, president of the Norwin Senior Softball Association. Players need not be North Huntingdon residents.

Those interested and old enough to qualify can register 9 to 11 a.m. April 3 and 10 at the Norwin Police Athletic League Complex along Bridge Street in Shafton.

Cost of participating in the league is $15. Those who join get a hat and T-shirt. Players are asked to make a monetary donation that will be given to the Westmoreland County Food Bank.

The league has donated more than $50,000 to the food bank in the past 20 years, Rollason said.

For more information, call Rollason at 724-863-4201.
