Buffalo Wild Wings in Hempfield is temporarily closed after multiple employees tested positive for the coronavirus, company spokesman Jack D’Amato said.

According to D’Amato, officials learned Sunday of the positive cases at the Hempfield Plaza location along Route 30 and “out of an abundance of caution, we have temporarily closed our sports bar for deep cleaning and will open once all local health guidelines for reopening are met,” he said.

Westmoreland County moved to the green phase of Gov. Tom Wolf’s three-phased reopening plan June 5, enabling restaurants to open for inside dining with limited capacity.

It was not immediately clear how many employees tested positive for covid-19. D’Amato did not specify how long the restaurant would remain closed.

“(We) are taking all possible steps to ensure our guests and team members’ health and safety,” he said.
