One person was taken to the hospital after a house fire in Ligonier on Tuesday, according to Westmoreland County 911.
The fire started in the basement of the Griffith Street home, a dispatcher said. It was reported at 4:12 p.m. and was quickly extinguished by Ligonier’s Waterford Fire Department and other responding departments.
The condition of the patient, and the extent of the damage, could not be immediately determined.
