Westmoreland Manor.

Another Westmoreland Manor resident has died and two others have tested positive for covid-19, county officials announced Saturday.

Four residents remain hospitalized with covid-19, officials said.

In all, 107 residents and 32 staff members have tested positive for coronavirus. Three people have died from the disease.

Staff and residents who test negative are tested every three days and will continue to be tested until no residents or staff record positive test results for 14 days, the county said.

The Hempfield nursing home is owned by Westmoreland County.

Commissioners in September called in the Pennsylvania National Guard to assist with testing at the Manor. Though they originally were called for only a few days, the Guard is expected to stay at the Manor until Monday.

Officials have not said how the outbreak started. In-person visitation was resumed in September, a few days before it was discovered. Visitation was prohibited again once the first cases were spotted.
