1 person injured in crash on Route 136 in Hempfield, officials say

One person was reported injured in a crash along Route 136 in Hempfield on Sunday morning, according to authorities.

Fort Allen Volunteer Fire Department Chief Neil Kush said one person was extricated from a car by firefighters following the crash at about 8:24 a.m. along the two-lane highway. The patient was taken by Mutual Aid Ambulance to an undisclosed a hospital for treatment.

State police in Greensburg are investigating. A police report on the crash including the identity of the driver was not immediately available.
