Gateway Rehab will show off its expanded drug and alcohol treatment center in Mt. Pleasant during an open house Friday.

The public is invited to the inpatient facility at Excela Health Frick Hospital from 1-3 p.m. A short program will begin around 1 p.m. Staff members will be available afterwards for tours and to answer questions about services offered there.

The facility was recently renovated and expanded from 16 to 33 beds. Ten beds can be used for detoxification and 23 beds are for rehabilitation. The expansion was funded by a $400,000 grant from the state Department of Human Services.

The facility opened in October 2016 as the first in Westmoreland County to offer residential treatment in a previously unused part of the hospital. In its first couple months of operation, more than 80 people had been admitted.

The center is at 508 S. Church St., Suite 201.
