Westbound lanes of the Pennsylvania Turnpike will be closed from midnight until 5 a.m. Sunday between the Irwin and the Pittsburgh interchanges for repairs and maintenance.

State police and turnpike personnel will be stationed at the impacted interchanges to assist drivers, and message signs will provide information on closures and detours.

Drivers traveling westbound are recommended to exit the turnpike at the Irwin interchange (exit 67), take Route 30 eastbound toward Greensburg for 4.6 miles to turnpike Route 66 (Amos K. Hutchinson Bypass).

Motorists should then turn left onto turnpike Route 66 northbound and travel seven miles to Route 22 westbound, and turn left. Remain on Route 22 for 10.5 miles and re-enter the turnpike at Monroeville, following signs for westbound I-76 to Ohio.
