The Westmoreland County Redevelopment Authority and Land Bank is looking to bring a local college student aboard for a communications internship.

The paid, part-time position is open to college students in their second year or beyond who live or attend college in Westmoreland County. Interns will gain experience in marketing, community outreach, social media management, event planning, graphic design and more, according to authority spokesperson Ashley Vidale.

“We’re a multi-faceted organization working to remediate blight and build healthy and whole communities throughout Westmoreland County,” Vidale said. “As such, this is a multi-faceted internship that will offer a variety of experiences that would add value to any new graduate’s resume.”

The authority undertakes projects like historic preservation, blight demolition, residential and commercial rehabilitation and the repurposing of vacant or tax-delinquent properties.
