The Golden Age of Broadway is the theme of the Westmoreland Cultural Trust’s “Party at The Palace” with live music on Feb. 22 at The Palace Theatre in downtown Greensburg.

“It is the most exclusive gala in Westmoreland County,” said Daniel Stainer, a spokesman for the Westmoreland Cultural Trust, a nonproft organization that manages the Palace.

“The event helps celebrate the history and the importance of The Palace Theatre and the Westmoreland Cultural Trust to the community,” said Sandee Williamson, development director for the trust. “What we strive to do is to make sure arts and culture are without price barriers, where possible.”

A VIP experience begins at 6:30 p.m. and features complimentary champagne and light hors d’oeuvres and music by the EBT Jazz Trio and select Broadway-style vocalists.

The main event begins at 7:30 with hors d’oeuvres from local vendors, a cash bar and musical performances. There will be whiskey and a cigar bar as well.

At 8:15 p.m., Gary Racan & The Studio E Band will perform classic and contemporary hits and the EBT Jazz Trio will perform. Dessert will be served.

Raffle tickets will be sold for a chance to win a Greensburg Getaway, featuring a Palace Theatre gift card, a luxury hotel stay, a spa experience and dinner at a local restaurant.

Tickets for the VIP experience are $225 for trust members and $250 nonmembers. General admission is $100 for members and $150 for nonmembers. Tickets for young professionals age 30 and younger are $50.

Proceeds support arts in the community. Information on tickets can be found at westmorelandculturaltrust.org/events/.
