Paving of a section of Fourth Street in Youngwood will result in a single-lane restriction beginning Tuesday for motorists headed south on Route 119 through the borough.

Depending on weather conditions, the lane restriction is expected to be in place from 6 a.m. to 5 p.m. weekdays through Aug. 4.

The work also will cause intermittent closures of side streets that intersect Fourth Street between Burton Avenue and Stouts Carpeting.

The work by contractor Golden Triangle is part of a $23.8 million reconstruction of the Route 119 northbound and southbound lanes in Youngwood that is slated for completion in September.

The project has included reconfiguration of some on-street parking spaces, which is meant to slow down traffic, as well as reconstruction of sidewalks and handicapped-access curb ramps for pedestrians.
