A pedestrian was flown to a Pittsburgh hospital last week after being hit by a car in Unity, according to information state police released Tuesday.

Troopers said Leonard C. Kulha, 74, of Latrobe, was crossing Route 130, not far from the intersection with Route 981 in Pleasant Unity, when he was hit by a Ford Fusion at 5:30 p.m. Jan. 10. He was taken by medical helicopter to UPMC Presbyterian in Pittsburgh. Troopers did not indicate his level of injuries in a news release.

Neither the driver, a 71-year-old Ligonier man, nor the passenger, a 59-year-old Ligonier woman, of the car were hurt, police said.
