The trial of an Allegheny County man charged with in a shooting death that occurred nearly two years ago in Jeannette is now scheduled to begin in May.

Darrelle Tolbert-McGhee, 30, of Penn Hills, has been in jail since he was arrested for the April 13, 2017, shooting death of 32-year-old Michael Wilson, who police said was shot several times in front of the Dollar General store on Clay Avenue.

Wilson, of West Mifflin, died from multiple gunshot wounds to his chest, hand, arms, thigh and genitals, according to police.

Tolbert-McGhee’s trial was scheduled to begin in March but during a brief hearing Tuesday morning, Westmoreland County Common Pleas Court Judge Meagan Bilik-DeFazio agreed to postpone the case for two months.
