Pancake breakfast

The Level Green Lions Club will host a pancake breakfast from 7 a.m. to noon March 14 at the Level Green Community Building, 123 Murrysville Road in Penn Township.

Meals include all-you-can-eat pancakes — including buttermilk, blueberry, chocolate chip and buckwheat — sausage and a beverage. Admission is $9 for adults and $4 for children under 10.

All proceeds will support the Lions Club’s charitable initiatives. Nonperishable food items will be collected to donate to the Trafford Food Bank.

Easter egg hunt

Penn Township Recreation will host an Easter egg hunt from 1 to 4 p.m. March 22 at Municipal Park, 2001 Municipal Court in Harrison City.

The egg hunt will start at 1:15 p.m. for children under 2 years old, at 1:45 for those ages 3 to 4, 2:15 p.m. for those ages 5 to 7, 2:45 for those ages 8 to 10 and 3:15 for those ages 11 to 12. Rain date is scheduled March 29.

Vendor show

Students from Penn-Trafford High School’s media literacy class will host a spring-themed vendor show from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. March 28 at the high school, 3381 Route 130 in Penn Township.

The event will feature more than 60 vendors selling items such as homemade coffee, sourdough bread, cookies, art prints, home goods, clothing and jewelry. There also will be a dirty soda bar, where visitors can purchase root beer float-style beverages.

All proceeds from the event will support the district’s annual fundraiser for Make-A-Wish, which culminates in a telethon in December produced by the high school’s video production class.

Charter Day

Bushy Run Battlefield in Penn Township will host its annual Charter Day on March 8.

The event recognizes the day in 1681 when William Penn received a grant of 26 million acres from English King Charles II — land that would become Pennsylvania. Attendees can explore the museum and speak with reenactors about the state’s history.

The event will take place noon to 3 p.m. in the museum and is free to attend. Cake, drinks and snacks will be served.

Lego bingo

Penn Area Library will host a bingo event on March 8 at the Trafford Borough building, 414 Brinton Ave. in Trafford.

Doors will open at 1 p.m. and games will start at 2 p.m. Lego sets, valued at about $100, will be awarded to winners. Tickets are $30 and include all regular games. Admission tickets can be purchased for $10 but do not include any bingo games.

To register, visit the library at 2001 Municipal Court in Penn Township, or its website, pennlib.org.
