PennDOT bridge replacement projects are scheduled to begin Monday, May 13, triggering detours in Rostraver and a lane restriction in Murrysville.
Crews from Golden Triangle Construction Co. will install a precast box culvert to replace the bridge that carries northbound Route 906 (Second Street) over Webster Hollow Run in Rostraver.
The $2.2 million project will result in closure of portions of Second Street, between Mechanics and Kline streets, and Webster Hollow Road, between Second and First streets, in the Rostraver community of Webster.
The closures are slated to begin at 7 a.m. Monday and are expected to continue through late August.
Northbound traffic on Second Street will be detoured to the southbound lanes of First Street, between Turkey Hollow Road and Bargehr Lane.
First Street, which normally carries only southbound traffic on Route 906, will have pavement markings applied to allow for two-way traffic through Webster. The northbound lanes of Second Street will be open for local traffic, except between Mechanics and Kline.
Traffic on Webster Hollow Road will be detoured along Third Street to Kline Street, and then to the two-way traffic lanes on First Street.
Murrysville work
In Murrysville, crews from Plum Contracting will replace the bridge that carries School Road over Haymakers Run.
The $2.8 million project includes full-depth reconstruction of the roadway and drainage improvements. It is scheduled for completion next March.
A single-lane restriction, controlled by flaggers, is planned on School Road, between Sardis Road and Mill Stream Court.
The restriction will be in effect from 7 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. weekdays through early June.
