Planned Parenthood’s Greensburg Health Center, which had closed mid-January, has fully reopened.
According to its website, normal in-person services at 125 Nature Park Road were restored Thursday.
Planned Parenthood offers a variety of services including cancer screenings, testing for pregnancy and sexually transmitted diseases, as well as providing gender-affirming care, mental health support, wellness and preventative care.
In 2025, Planned Parenthood of Western Pennsylvania provided services to more than 26,700 people and had more than 11,800 in-person patient visits, according to its annual report.
The closures come amid a battle over federal funding.
In July, President Donald Trump signed legislation into law that defunded Planned Parenthood and cut federal Medicaid funding. Planned Parenthood Federation of America filed a lawsuit in July against Health and Human Services Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr., as reported by The Associated Press.
Gov. Josh Shapiro signed onto the lawsuit in July.
“While PPWP cannot participate in Medicaid at this time, we will work with every patient to ensure they get the care they need, when they need it,” according to a statement posted on PPWP’s website. “Thank you to the donors who make this possible.”
Planned Parenthood Johnstown is also fully opened.
Planned Parenthood is looking to hire. There were five job postings on its website including two for the Greensburg office and three for Pittsburgh. Positions include health care assistant, nurse practitioner and registered nurse.
Planned Parenthood of Western Pennsylvania paused in-person services at its Bridgeville health center in early December and reduced its services at the Pittsburgh Family Planning health center Jan. 25.
Pittsburgh’s abortion services are still available and telehealth services remain fully operational.
