The right lane of Interstate 70 eastbound near the New Stanton exit is expected to reopen later today after a tractor-trailer crash damaged a light pole and guiderail.

The Thursday morning crash affected traffic for hours as the truck was removed from an embankment near mile marker 56. The left lane of the highway was reopened at 3 p.m. Thursday, according to Jay Ofsanik, a PennDOT spokesman. State police said a detour was in place for about an hour Thursday afternoon.

The right lane has remained closed as crews reset a utility pole that was damaged in the 5:30 a.m. crash. A guiderail damaged in the crash is expected to be replaced this afternoon. Ofsanik said the remaining lane closure will be lifted once the repair is made.

No injuries were reported in the crash.
