Dominic Bellone is accused of being drunk and hitting four people with a pickup truck.

Four people were hospitalized after state police said a Jeannette man hit them with a pickup truck early Saturday.

Dominic Giovanni Bellone, 20, was drunk when he hit two men and two women in Derry Township and fled, according to court papers. He is being held at the Westmoreland County Prison on $50,000 bail.

Troopers were called to Latrobe Derry Road at 2:14 a.m. Saturday after Bellone refused to leave a home there and hit a woman in the face, according to court papers. Police said four people were run over by Bellone in the driveway after he hit a parked car. A fence was damaged as he fled, police said.

Three people were taken to AHN Forbes Hospital in Monroeville and one person was treated at Excela Health Latrobe Hospital, according to troopers.

Authorities found a 1992 Ford F-150 parked a short distance away that had damage consistent with a crash. Police said Bellone, who had facial injuries, was in the driver’s seat. A cold quarter barrel of beer was sitting on the passenger side floor, according to court papers.

Police said Bellone appeared to be intoxicated. His driver’s license was suspended and the ignition interlock he was required to have was not present in the truck, police said. A blood test is pending.

Bellone is charged with aggravated assault by vehicle while driving under the influence, accidents involving injury while not licensed, simple assault and numerous other counts. He did not have an attorney listed in online court records.

A Wednesday preliminary hearing is set.
