A woman was arrested early Friday after being accused of stabbing a Murrysville man during an argument inside his home.

Shalonda White, 43, who lists addresses in Murrysville and Homestead in court records, was arraigned on charges of aggravated assault and simple assault in connection with an incident that occurred at a residence on the 4000 block of Sardis Road.

Officer Anthony Talamo reported that police were called to the home at 4:27 a.m. for a report of a domestic dispute. Court documents said police were met by a man “who had blood on several areas of his body, specifically a stab wound to his right leg and a bloody right eye.”

Talamo said the man told police that White stabbed him with a large, silver kitchen knife and punched his right eye.

According to police, the man barricaded himself in the bedroom, but White “broke the door off its hinges” and continued punching him before running out of the home.

Talamo said police confiscated a kitchen knife that had blood on it.

A short time later, investigators later located White near the intersection of Sardis and School roads.

Talamo said White denied stabbing the man and claimed he struck her with a plumbing tool and punched her.

White requested medical treatment, police said. The man declined medical treatment, Talamo said.

White could not be reached for comment. An attorney was not listed in court documents.

District Judge Charles Conway scheduled a preliminary hearing for July 23.
