Police: Hit-and-run crash critically injures Latrobe woman
Police are looking for a hit-and-run driver who struck and critically injured a pedestrian Saturday in Derry Township.
A man was driving east on Harrison Avenue, near the Union Mission, just before 6 p.m. when his Dodge Ram 1500 pickup struck a woman who was walking along the berm, state police said.
An employee at the Union Mission, Mary Bathurst, 42, of Latrobe, was taken by medical helicopter to UPMC Presbyterian hospital in Pittsburgh, where she was in critical condition, according to police.
Police said the driver initially stopped but then fled. His red truck possibly had small rear doors.
Anyone with information about the truck or driver is asked to call 911.
