State police have identified the driver of a car that struck two pedestrians in Mt. Pleasant Township early Friday morning as Elizabeth Sirianni, 30, of Mt. Pleasant.
Police said Sirianni was driving west on Route 31 in Mt. Pleasant Township, near the intersection of Yoder Avenue and Maple Street shortly after 2:30 a.m. Trooper Joshua Wiskeman said in a release that she hit two men who were walking along the shoulder of the road.
One victim, identified only as a 23 year-old Mt. Pleasant man, was flown to Allegheny General Hospital in Pittsburgh. Police said he was listed in critical condition with severe injuries.
He was struck by the car’s front bumper.
The second victim, identified as a 40-year-old Apollo man, was treated at the scene. Police said he was struck by the passenger side mirror of Sirianni’s car.
Police continue to investigate the crash.
