A 22-year-old Leechburg man and two juvenile boys have been identified by state police at Greensburg as the three suspects in the strangulation and simple assault of a juvenile girl at the Westmoreland Mall in Hempfield on Friday night.

Police said early Sunday morning they have interviewed the three suspects in the ongoing investigation, but no charges have been filed. The Leechburg man was not identified by police.

The girl was thrown to the ground inside the mall along Route 30 by a known male at 6:45 p.m. Friday, police said.

The trio was identified Saturday after a photo of the three suspects was released Friday night, police said.
