A Jeannette man ruined his girlfriend’s roommate’s trip to Florida last month after he allegedly stole her purse, which contained her driver’s license and $7,000, according to police.

Paul Michael Fogle, 33, was arrested Friday and jailed on $10,000 bail.

Police said the victim had her bags packed for a flight on Spirit Airlines scheduled for Jan. 30 to Orlando, Fla. But the night before her trip, police said she noticed her purse was missing just minutes after she had seen Fogle in her bedroom of her Whiteman Street apartment, according to an affidavit.

She wasn’t able to board the flight — valued at $177 — because of the missing identification card, police said. She had $7,719 in her purse including a debit card with her income tax return.

Fogle is charged with burglary, theft and receiving stolen property. He did not have an attorney listed in online court records. A Feb. 21 preliminary hearing is set.
