An Allegheny County man allegedly had items used for manufacturing methamphetamine in a Greensburg parking lot where he was dropped off Saturday by a Connellsville woman, according to police.

Michael Allen Horning, 47, of Ross Township, is being held in the Westmoreland County Prison on $75,000 bail.

The woman told police Horning spent the night at her home and she was driving him to Pittsburgh International Airport to catch a flight to Florida. Police said Horning was making meth at the woman’s house the night before, and she dropped him off in a North Main Street parking lot at 4 p.m. after he became angry he was going to miss his flight.

Police searched one of three bags Horning had with him and found meth, camping fuel, drain opener, coffee filters and other items used to make the drug, according to court papers.

He is charged with drug possession, false identification and other offenses. He did not have an attorney listed in online court papers. An Oct. 17 preliminary hearing is set.
