A Unity man wanted for exposing himself at a Greensburg restaurant turned himself in Friday, according to police.
Authorities had been looking for Eric Trice, 43, since Tuesday, when he was charged with indecent exposure, corruption of minors, child endangerment, open lewdness and disorderly conduct. District Judge Chris Flanigan set his bond at $100,000.
Trice’s attorney Matthew Ness immediately asked her to reconsider. He had requested an unsecured or non-monetary bond.
“He has no violent history, he turned himself in,” Ness said.
Flanigan refused. Police had requested a $10,000 bond.
Trice is accused of exposing himself Sunday to workers at Dino’s Sports Lounge, located on Towne Square Drive off Route 30.
Restaurant staff reported to police at 4 p.m. that he was seen with his zipper down as he walked past the waitress station, according to court papers. A waitress told police Trice “got her attention and walked in an unusual way to highlight his groin area,” police reported.
Another waitress told police she saw Trice sitting in the bar area, staring at her with his genitals exposed. A patron reported seeing the same thing, and surveillance video showed Trice touching himself, police said.
Staff asked Trice to leave, and he paid with a credit card bearing his name, police said. A child was with him in the restaurant.
Flanigan ordered that Trice be placed on electronic monitoring should he post bond. She expressed concerns that Trice travels out of state regularly for his job. He is forbidden from having contact with children who are not related to him and living with a child.
Trice was in Texas at a job site when he learned about the warrant and hired an attorney, Ness said. He was taken to the Westmoreland County Prison after an arraignment hearing. A Feb. 27 preliminary hearing is set.
