State police are looking for a vehicle towing an oversized load that damaged a toll booth Tuesday on Toll Route 66 in Hempfield.

Troopers said the white truck tractor was headed south at 3:15 p.m. when the blade of the bulldozer it was towing on a semi trailer hit several black barriers before it hit the toll booth lane. The rig hit a concrete wall at the toll booth as well as a camera and light.

“(The vehicle) then backed up a total of four times inside the toll booth lane to get unstuck” and continued south on the highway, police said in a news release.

A white pickup truck was traveling behind the rig as a safety flagger. Police are looking for information about the two vehicles and company for which they were working. Anyone with information is asked to call 724-755-9463.
