A Fayette County woman is accused of pointing a gun at a Hempfield man Thursday while their three children were nearby, according to court papers.

Victoria Pedraza, 28, of North Union Township, is charged with burglary, aggravated assault, child endangerment and related offenses. She was being held at the Westmoreland County Prison in lieu of $100,000 bond.

State police said Pedraza knocked on the door of her estranged husband’s West Hills Drive apartment at 5:30 p.m. with the children — ages 7, 6, and 3 — in tow, according to court papers.

When the door opened, Pedraza pointed a pistol at the man’s chest and forced her way inside, police said. The pair struggled over the gun and police were called. She was sitting in her car with the children in the backseat when troopers arrived.

Pedraza did not have an attorney listed in online court papers. A June 7 preliminary hearing is set.
