A former Norwin administrator has been hired as the chief operating officer for a non-profit that operates employment, education and training programs in Westmoreland and Fayette counties

Thomas Wrobleski, a former human resources director for Norwin, was hired recently as the COO for the Private Industry Council of Westmoreland/Fayette Inc., the agency said. Wrobleski, who brings 25 years of experience to PIC, also was senior director of Norwin’s facilities and property services. He also was a programs chief and special services chief in the private sector.

“He not only brings experience but also compassion for the work that we deliver to our communities,” said Shujanne Martin, president of PIC.

Wrobleski will oversee the daily operations for programs and services, quality control, evaluating business development opportunities and diversity, equity and inclusion. His goal is to build effective working relationships with all stakeholders and to identify and develop business opportunities to maximize the benefits to PIC clients, the agency said.
