MAX Environmental Technologies will accept unwanted electronics and a limited number of tires from area residents at its Yukon landfill on Spring Street from 9 a.m. to noon Saturday.

The event is for residents only. Drop-offs from businesses or commercial operations will not be accepted.

Residents can bring up to eight passenger car or light-truck tires. Large tractor and other farm tires cannot be accepted.

MAX will work with WestmorelandCleanways and Recycling in managing the materials collected at the event.

With the exception of appliances, all electronics will be accepted —- including televisions of any size, as long as they are not smashed or otherwise broken, according to Westmoreland Cleanways.
