A reward is being offered for information after a cat was found Wednesday with severe burns in the Ruffs Dale area, according to the Westmoreland County District Attorney’s Office.

The feline is being cared for by Frankie’s Friends Cat Rescue in New Kensington.

Humane officers are offering a reward, though the amount was unclear. The cat was found in a driveway in a rural area. It had burns on its body, and authorities believe it was hurt intentionally.

Anyone with information is asked to contact the rescue at 724-889-7011.

In Facebook post, Frankie’s Friends said the cat has “been given all the necessary medications to get the infection and pain under control.”

The rescue is accepting donations for the care of the animal. Donations can be made at Facebook.com/Frankies FriendsCatRescue or frankies-friends.org.
