Saint Vincent College plans to announce its new president Friday at Heinz Field in Pittsburgh, the college said.

Brother Norman Hippsannounced in April he would leave the position at the end of June. Hipps, 75, has been the Unity-based college’s president for nine years.

J. Christopher Donahue, chairman of the college’s board of directors and CEO Federated Investors Inc., is scheduled to announce the new president, according to the college.

Art Rooney II, president and co-owner of the Pittsburgh Steelers, will be among those speaking at the press conference.

Saint Vincent will provide an update on the $100 million capital campaign it announced in December 2017, said Suzanne English, the college’s vice president of marketing and communications.

The capital campaign has supported four major construction projects totaling $40 million, including the $5.7 million James F. Will Engineering and Biomedical Sciences Hall which opened in November 2017. The library has been expanded and updated and money was used for technology updates for Alfred Hall classrooms, the Robert S. Carey Student Center, and dining expansion to include student life and community center.

The college earmarked $20 million to strengthen programs, including the Students First Fund, the Fred Rogers Center, academic and support services and student life.
