SCORE to present workshops on social media, business basics
An organization of retired entrepreneurs will present two free workshops on business-related topics this month at the Norwin Public Library on Caruthers Lane in Irwin.
Westmoreland SCORE — Service Corps of Retired Executives — will present “Small Business Basics” from 5-7:30 p.m. April 15 for those wanting to start their own business or to improve their skills. The workshop will cover topics such as evaluating a business idea, business structures, preparing a business plan, financing, cash flow and marketing.
A workshop on “Social Media and Marketing Your Business,” slated from 5-7:30 p.m. April 25, is designed to help participants understand the communication potential of social media and how to use social media to improve a business.
Westmoreland SCORE is located at Saint Vincent College.
Register for either or both workshops at westmoreland.score.org, on Facebook, or by calling the SCORE office at 724-539-7505 for more information.
